Your Elou Ceramics are handmade to be used, loved and enjoyed every day. With a little care, they’ll be part of your daily rituals for years to come.
Everyday Use
Unless otherwise stated on the product page, all ELOU ceramics are:
- Dishwasher safe
- Microwave safe
- Food safe
A Few Handy Tips
While your ceramics are made for everyday life, these simple tips will help keep them looking their best:
- Avoid sudden or extreme temperature changes (for example, taking a piece straight from the fridge and pouring in boiling water).
- Handle with care to avoid chips from knocks or drops.
- If stacking bowls or plates, consider placing a soft cloth or paper towel between them to help prevent scratches over time.
- Tea and coffee may leave stains over time on lighter glazes. A gentle scrub with a paste of bicarbonate of soda and water will usually remove them.

Every piece is individually handmade, so you may notice slight variations in shape, glaze, colour or finish. These aren’t imperfections—they’re part of what makes handmade ceramics so special and ensure that every piece is one of a kind.
